Herbert G. Kloiber
Herbert G. Kloiber is Managing Partner of the Tele München Group. After completing a doctorate in law, in 1970 Herbert G. Kloiber began his career at Beta/Taurus. In 1974 he became the Managing Director of the production firm Unitel and primarily produced operas and concert films. In 1977 he acquired the company Tele München and over the ensuing years developed the production firm into an integrated media group that today unites all audio-visual stages of exploitation under one roof. He sits on the Supervisory Board of Odeon Film AG. As Honorary Professor at the University of Television and Film Munich he is Head of the 'Production and Media Business' department. Furthermore, he is Advisory Director of New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Chair of the European Advisory Board at Cleveland Orchestra and Vice President of Vienna’s music friends’ society Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde.
In addition to the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres and the Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur from the French Republic Herbert G. Kloiber was honored with the Bavarian Order of Merit, the Grand Decoration of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria, the Directorate Award of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award.
