Michael Krüger

Michael Krüger was born in Wittgendorf, Saxony, in 1943. Between 1993 and 2013 he was Managing Director of the Munich publishing house Carl Hanser Verlag. He is editor of the journal Akzente and the Edition Akzente, member of various academies and the author of poetry, stories, novellas and novels. In addition to many awards Michael Krüger has received the Peter Huchel Prize and the Grand Literary Award of the Bavarian Academy of the Fine Arts of which he has been President since 2014.
