VIII TDM International Academy
Trío De Magia (TDM), Sueca – Valencia, Spain
The TDM International Academy offers a comprehensive exploration of contemporary music with a practical and theoretical approach: a mixture of instrumental master classes, master classes on composition, concerts and conferences, alongside other activities such as the TDM Young Composers Competition, the Reading Sessions and Workshops on electro-acoustic music and stage presence.
Over the course of 3 days the Academy acts as a platform for artistic dialogue and exchange on an international level, bringing the most contemporary creations to younger generations and working with internationally renowned soloists and composers: including Toshio Hosokawa, Philippe Hurel, José Luis López López, Héctor Parra, Mauricio Sotelo, Pierre Jodlowski, José Luis Torá, Marcus Weiss, Claude Delangle, Marie-Bernadette Charrier, Christian Dierstein, Isao Nakamura, Jean Geoffroy, Dimitri Vassilakis. The academy is aimed at young professionals or students who specialise in saxophone, percussion, piano and composition, with a special interest in broadening their experience in the field of contemporary musical creation. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports the eighth edition of the Academy in 2013.
