8th International Young Composers’ Academy

Held annually the young composers’ academy now regularly offers places for some 120 young composers and musicians from throughout the world. In 2018 participants are expected from over 20 countries. Young composers as well as performers can enter who are then pre-selected by the jury. Under the guidance of famous composition lecturers, students can first work on a new composition. The compositions will be studied by Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME). The results of the rehearsal phase, one- to-one tuition, lectures and presentations will finally be presented in concerts in Tchaikovsky, Perm and Moscow. Furthermore, some of the new works will be published by Dutch publisher Donemus Verlag as part of a competition. In 2018 professors invited to the academy include Chaya Czernowin, Yann Robin and Dieter Ammann.
