Bettina von Siemens

Born in Berlin in 1942, Bettina von Siemens grew up in Switzerland. She has been married to Peter von Siemens since 1966. The couple has four children. As trained translator, she was involved in numerous committees, associations and foundations over many years, including the Karg Foundation for the Promotion of the Highly Gifted, the Munich Botanical Garden and the European Organisation for Research on Cancer (EORTC). In 2000, Bettina von Siemens founded the German-Russian Ballet Foundation, formerly the Friends of the Mariinsky Theatre St. Petersburg Foundation, thus making a lasting contribution to cultural exchange between Germany and Russia.
