Seven commissions

As part of the project Echoes of Cultural Localizations, a comprehensive exchange project with ensemble mosaik and musicians, composers and dancers from Manila and Bangkok will take place in summer 2024. Postcolonial aspects will be addressed, the significance of traditional cultural forms in a global context will be explored, and current sociocultural structures will be critically examined. In addition to composition commissions to Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis, Alexander Villanueva, Anaßt Narkkong, and Anothai Nitibhon, composition commissions will be given to Jonah Haven, Julia Mihály, and Ricardo Eizirik to expand the theme with an international perspective. The composition commissions are funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
