Mixtur 2023

The Associació Col·lectiu Mixtur in Barcelona aims to contribute to the creation, pedagogy and promotion of contemporary music, sound art and multidisciplinary projects through its work.

One of the organization's main activities is the Mixtur Festival, founded in 2012, which includes concerts, discussions, sound installations, conferences and workshops. It takes place in various cultural centers and auditoriums in Barcelona. Mixtur invites numerous composers, improvisers, sound artists, players and dancers from all over the world and offers students the opportunity to meet many other artists. 

The project, made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, includes four international workshops for young musicians: Composition, Improvisation and two Workshops for Performers, led by 14 renowned artists and ending with a concert as part of the Festival Mixtur program. In the composition workshops, the young participants will write short pieces that will then be premiered by eight ensembles and soloists.
