Reviving Parmegiani: Restoration of Stries and Exercisme I for Synthesizer Trio

This project is dedicated to an attempt the restage two works by Bernard Parmegiani – Stries and Exercisme I for Synthesizer Trio. Neither piece has been performed for over a quarter of a century. Since the technology used to create the pieces has long since become outdated the special challenge here is to bring the old technology up to date. This will involve an elaborate procedure saving the works in a sustainable fashion from deterioration and thus oblivion. The result of this reconstruction of the works supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation will be staged in December in a series of concerts in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Zürich.
