Strawberry, Concert Series 2013

Jaðarber, Hafnarfjörður, Iceland

Founded in 2011, Jaðarber or Strayberry is an independent concert series that is co-produced with Reykjavik Art Museum and will be supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation in 2013. The series focuses on contemporary, innovative and experimental music. The first concert will focus on two Romanian composers who have been influential in the Romanian spectralism: Horatiu Radulescu and Iancu Dumitrescu. Another three concerts will feature Slaughter, a group of young progressive composers in Reykjavík, Iceland. One of the concerts will be produced by Kaj Aune who combines performance art and installations. During the last concert of the 2013 concert series, Una Sveinbjarnardóttir and Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir will perform “For John Cage”, a piece by Morton Feldman for violin and piano.
