Arcus Temporum XI – Art Festival of Pannonhalma 2012

Pannonhalma Archabbey Foundation, Hungary

As the name of Arcus Temporum suggests, its principal endeavor is to forge bridges across time. The music concerts are conceived around the works of a contemporary and a historic composer who dominate the stage for three days. In electing a contemporary composer, the chief criterion has been to find someone clearly at the forefront of the international music scene but with little recognition in Hungary. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports the festival in 2012 which will feature contemporary composer Kaija Saariaho.
