Madrigale Contemporaneo

Fondazione Prometeo, Parma, Italy

The madrigal is a secular vocal music composition that originated in the fourteenth century, developed during the Renaissance and reached its peak in the seventeenth century. Now the genre is the focus of the Madrigale Contemporaneo project, which offers creative possibilities for a rediscovery of the madrigal today.

Ensemble Prometeo will present contemporary madrigal compositions by Daniele Bravi, Luigi Manfrin and Lara Morciano as part of the Traiettorie Festival. The concert in parma is funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
